My sister's first four birthday gifts were delivered today! (Her actual birthday isn't until the 25th, but Yellowstone doesn't always get its mail with any particular quickness, so I wanted at least a few things to arrive well in advance.) This week I'm planning to send her either one DVD player and She's the Man, Mean Girls, and maybe ???? on DVD -or- four or five things for $60-$80ish. Which shall be plucked from the $317 of my stimulus left as of this writing. It's easy to keep track of the exact amount because the gubmint had it deposited onto the wrong card, which for some dumb reason got error message'd at multiple ATMs, but works fine for in-person or online spending, so I've been casting that money at grocery trips and fun things. I will need about $300 for bills in the first half of the month, but other than that should be able to save about 90% of its first two paychecks. "Its" as in the month's, January's, in case that wasn't clear.

Anyway.

Long ago, on the twenty-third of December of 2020, I purchased a Punk Storm action figure. I was thrilled, because I found a loose version on Mercari. About $25, which would be $13 less than the boxed version on Amazon. TRAGICALLY, when we checked the mail it looked like someone had tampered with most of the mailboxes, which our street keeps in a clump on a corner. I did email them about it, but of course never received + officially marked as delivered = zero chance of a replacement, so I went ahead and got a boxed one on Amazon because she's worth it because she's one of the coolest action figures I have ever seen. Ever. But! A few days ago they sent me an email announcing a credit and a coupon! Which I used last night on my favorite of the many many Psylockes I have checked out in recent weeks. And this time I did remember to request that the pakidge be left on the porch, so hooves crossed.

Other than that, I'm not sure about whether or not I should buy myself anything fun before she arrives. But of course I am considering a few toys:

• Figuarts Sailor Venus (Animation Color Edition) - currently $50, along with the rest of this batch, which is v excite! If/when I get any of them, she & Artemis will definitely be next, but I'd really like all four. Not so much Moon herself, as I prefer the original's deep pink to this one's bright red. Although they are both cute, and the pink is twice as many dollars. But okay, my point was, I might or might not treat myself to Venus this week!
• Funko Cloud Cats - just had one sent to my sister! Other than that, I have ordered three at a time, twice. Of those six, only one has been a double. So do I want to try my luck with another three, or per-haps spend $105 on a case of 18? Or both? But yeah, obviously I am pretty into these things right now.
• Cutetitos Taste Budditos - I just need Chips & Salsa and Milk & Cookies. Also, I'm thinking about sending my sister her own Mac & Cheese. After that, I'll probably order one to four of the fruit ones. Without hunting them in person and checking codes.
• Another Storm. And another one, wearing the same outfit in a different color.
• Other X-Men. When my new Psylocke arrives it will just be her and Punk Storm, so my highest priority must-have-next's are Jubilee, Rogue, Dazzler, Kitty & Lockheed, Mystique, yet another Storm, Diamond Emma, Blink . . .
• X-Men are definitely most worth my money right now, but if I did buy any Avengers or other Marvel figures, my most wanted would be Monica Rambeau, She-Hulk, Spider-Girl, Shuri, Okoye, T'Challa, Scarlet Witch, Nico Minoru, Patsy Walker AKA Hellcat, Black Cat, two to four more Black Widows, six or seven different Invisible Womans, Wasp, Ghost Spider, Gwenpool . . .
• Cave Club Dino Baby Crystals - These are so cute! I picked up my first and so far only three on Christmas Day, and just found out about a new series. I might try my luck with three new S1s and then see who I get if I buy one or maybe two of the S2s, whose colors I really like. (Note: If/when I have more space for toys I will probably get at least some of the dolls, but for me this line is really about the tiny dinosaurs, so it's nice that each doll comes with one.) As I edit this entry, I am fairly certain I will almost definitely be ordering one S2 today or tomorrow or one on each day . . .
• FiguArts Captain Marvel and Harley Quinn - not likely before Sailor Venus, but I do really want both! Enough to order either or both of them before the other three of the main five Sailor Scouts? . . . Yeah, maybe, we'll see.
