Mar. 7th, 2022 11:03 amI am officially tired of thinking about stupid tax bullshit, so I thought it would be fun to ramble about something even more important: Televisionne!
LEGACIES
This is the ~second~ Vampire Diaries spin-off . . . which I have never bothered to watch, because shortly before it premiered Kat Graham made it very clear that after eight fucking seasons she had less than zero interest in ever playing Bonnie again, and good for her. But then a few days ago yootoob recommended a fight scene that was pretty fun, so I thought, you know, it couldn't hurt to watch the first episode. And now I am hooked! Obviously there's no one in this universe who I will ever love nearly as much as I love Bonnie Sheila Bennett, and it's a shame that Caroline isn't around even though her daughters and their dad are main characters, but it's still a lot of fun. Well, I mean, of course it is. How could a show about a boarding school for supernatural kids be anything other than fun? Also, unlike TVD, there are multiple characters of color, and the Internet tells me that more are coming. I have three more episodes of season one, and so far my favorite character is either MG or Josie. Would be Penelope or Emma, but they don't get nearly enough screentime.
BUFFY
My re-watch is on a bit of a break since I finished season five a few weeks ago and it is, you know, pretty much perfect. When I got to the finale I was on the verge of tears for pretty much the entire episode because it is just that epic. But I'm thinking I should probably start season six on Thursday, since that will be twenty-five goddamn years since the show started.
ABBOTT ELEMENTARY
This is genuinely one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life, and I am beyond impatient for the next new episode, which is a little more than two weeks away.
CHARMED
Sigh. Season four premieres on Friday, and I will watch that episode just to see what's going on, but the season three finale was such a cringe-fest that I'm honestly not sure if I can even be bothered to pretend to care any more. Ugh. Ugh, ugh, ugh.
SCHITT'S CREEK
Shortly after finding out about the tax bullshit, I was so annoyed that I decided to order some junk food and start this show again from the beginning . . . and it really helped! This morning I finished season two, which always makes me so fucking happy. But then season three is also very very happy, since David meets Patrick.
Other random stuff!
I need to buy some new work shoes soon. And new work pants. And a small book table to put next to my door.
A week from tomorrow will be one month since the mask mandate was lifted. So maybe I'll stop wearing mine then? Maybe. Last time we tried this they brought them back approximately three days later (actually about six weeks, but it sure felt shorter than that), so I'm kind of nervous. I mean, I'll keep masking up when I go to the grocery store because people are fucking nasty, but at work I am outside the entire time, so it does feel a bit silly.
I don't use my laptop much anymore, so the battery has decreased from 72% to 19% in about half an hour. That's fun.
