Oh My GUSH

Frankie & I got home a little while ago, and as we walked over to the cabin we noticed that Thomas (the friendly one of the two cats who live here - Clancy has absolutely zero desire to be around us, which I would respect even if that didn't remind me of me) was following us. We quickly put our stuff away and stepped back out of the cabin to say hi to him.
He demanded that Frankie pet him first, which she did for a minute or two. Then, I noticed how stunning the sunset was looking, so I took a few steps away to snap a pic of it . . . and Thomas RAN AFTER ME and insisted that I pet him as well, which of course I did. For some time. In fact, it was so much time that I sat down in the grass so I could continue petting him without hunching down to, you know, reach him. And then he let me keep petting him for approximately twenty minutes.
And it's true what they say, about how the actual act of petting a cat or dog or other animal can be good for the mental health. This time was certainly good for mine.
