Dolls

Last night, styling Zia's hair and then packing two bags for her was so much fun that I also gave Malibu and Renee (temporary) new outfits. 

Even though none of them have WIGS, which would be just too perfect, it does still seem clear that Moira Rose would appreciate the fact that I'm[ playing with dolls as I mourn Catherine O' Hara . . .

Today I might also take another doll out of the box? Ruby and Elphaba not yet, but I could potentially open Beyond Pink Barbie or any of my four vintage Skippers & Courtneys. Maybe!

P.S. Speaking of new dolls, here is today's update: Janis Ian has not been shipped yet, and neither has Autistic Barbie --- but, allegedly, Skater Malibu was left in a parcel locker today! That is amazing!

BRATZ

Honestly, I’ve always been rather indifferent to Bratz. They’re just not my thing. Occasionally I will see one somewhere and think, “Oh, she is particularly cute!” — but I can’t remember a time I have ever seriously considered, you know, actually purchasing one (except, of course, for Bratzillaz, which are usually so expensive that I’m probably never gonna seriously collect them).

Until Mean Girls.

But again, they’re so expensive that I figured I would never buy any.

Now that I have ordered Janis (who hasn’t shipped yet) and seriously considered spending several hundred dollars on the other six dolls (which I ultimately did not go through with, but now I will have to get them all eventually), I’m also aware of a Very Merry Sasha and Cloe (I’m pretty sure it’s just those two?) who I seriously want because they are just barely Mean Girls-adjacent.

And then there are a few others I have kind of considered, but haven’t added to my cart yet.

But then today I stumbled upon Slumber Party Yasmin, who as it turns out is one of five dolls.

I must have all five.

Not ordering any yet, but eventually I must have all five. Oh my gushhhhhhhh
