Money Math
Jun. 27th, 2023 11:58 pmSoooo, after rent and T-Mobile Auto Pay and the toys I've already purchased and the boots I ordered today, I'm going to have less than $400 until Next Check.
I'm annoyed about the boots, but it's a self-inflicted annoyance, because I knew this was coming and did nothing. I knew my boots were cheap because this is the second time I've bought this exact pair since April, and when I bought them a second time I thought I should invest in some boots made from more quality materials and told myself to check places like the Goodwill across the street from the trolley station at work, but the thing is I just hate in-person shopping so goshdamn much that I . . . didn't do it. And now my cheap boots are starting to fall apart, as I knew they would, so I ordered a pair of Doc Martens from Amazon. They were less than $111 INCLUDING all taxes & fees, which is significantly less than I thought I might have to pay, so hooves fucking crossed that they fit right and feel good!
Anyway. Next Check is a week and a few days away. I will treat myself to at least one new toy as soon as I clock out on Friday, and of course I have to feed myself, but overall I'll try to be rather frugal. Even with weed. I already have $40 set aside to put toward my next purchase. I'm going to need at least one new full-gram vape for this weekend. I just checked, and T-Mobile is the only bill that will pay itself right now. Hulu, Netflix, and Prime are all due after Next Check! That is helpful.
I don't want to write it down, but I would like to have a certain amount left over to add to Next Check so that even after withdrawing $400 for rent I will have quite a bit of money available on Prime Days. I think I can do it. Maybe.
In conclusion, I want more toys.
