Happy Stuffs
Jan. 20th, 2024 09:50 pmRight now it kind of feels like all I ever do is work and sleep, but of course that isn't literally true. In fact, there are more than a few happy stuffs to look forward to in my free time, such as . . .
Circle of Three! After taking a break for more than a month, I have jumped back into my re-read! I started book twelve on New Year's Day (which
is also when its plot starts, so I was reading about it exactly twenty-two years later), and finished book fourteen less than an hour ago. Book
fifteen is probably my favorite, but it's always bittersweet to read because it is the end of the whole series.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! Until ten days ago, this was what I watched while eating. I started with "The Power Transfer" and made it to "Storybook Rangers." Which means I only have three episodes until the end of season two. I may or may not get back to it any time soon, because I'm currently very happy to be distracted by . . .
Abbott Elementary! Season three premieres on February 7th, so of course I must watch every episode again. I bought season one on January 10th. I almost purchased it on the ninth, but talked myself out of it until I got paid. Which turned out to be very wise of me, because when I did buy it the price had decreased from $25 to $20! Obviously I could have watched by treating myself to a month of Hulu or Max, but I love this show so much that I really would prefer to have it available whenever I want, regardless of what streaming services I may or may not be paying for at any given moment. I need to purchase season two soon, and whenever season three is available I will get a season pass so I can watch every episode the day after it airs.
WB Charmed! For the last two months, this has usually been what Frankie and I watch when we have the free time to watch television together. Which sadly doesn't happen every day. But we have made it to season four, which is exciting because I love Paige! And now Frankie does too, even though she's only seen four of her episodes as of this writing. She also shares my hatred of Leo.
Welcome To Halliwell Manor! This biweekly podcast is the only one I listen to as soon as it's available (although, actually, I haven't listened to the most recent episode yet, and it's been out for almost a whole week), now that I don't have time to listen to them all day every day at work.
Derry Girls! It hasn't happened yet, but at some point in the very near future I am going to renew my Netflix account so Frankie and I can watch this again. Haven't done that since before season three, and it will be extra fun thanks to . . .
Cannabis! Frankie took me to a dispensary in Livingston two weeks ago, and she was right about their edibles, which were so good that we went back and bought more last week. For some reason Frankie is more into actually smoking pre-rolled joints right now, which doesn't make total sense to me, as smoking means we have to go to her car, which means we have to get fully dressed and walk through snow, but they are still fun. Of course.
Music! I only very recently started playing my own music at work. So far, I have listened to Hairspray more than three times, Once More With Feeling two times, and Wicked only one time.
