ryanreactsAt the moment, I'm only making time to watch two television progrums.
Obviously, the first one is Doctor Who. This season continues to be fucking amazing. I mean, sure, I was automatically interested as soon as I heard that RTD was coming back and Ncuti Gatwa would be the new Doctor, but still, I am consistently blown away by how much I am loving it. I cannot believe that the first half of the two-part finale airs next week. The week after that, the season will end. I am not ready for this! Even though they have already had seven full episodes of adventures, I feel like we have barely gotten to spend any time with Fifteen & Ruby Sunday!
Fortunately they will both be back for season two slash fifteen, but as far as I know we have no idea when that will air. But it won't be any time soon, of course. At the earliest, we might see them again on Christmas Day. Sigh.
The other show, Renegade Nell, has been on my radar for a while now, mainly for one big reason: Nell is played by ORLA FROM DERRY GIRLS.
I just finished episode two (of eight), and this show almost feels like it was made for me?
1. Orla!
2. In Tottenham, England
3. In 1705
4. Nell has a fairy guardian who gives her supernatural fighting skills when her life is in danger. For reasons that have not been explained yet.
5. The main villain is this loathsome rich boy, but he's being manipulated by the real Big Bad, the Earl of Poynton . . . who is a magician. With an underground lair. Which has a big pentagram carved in the ground so he can stand inside it to cast spells.
6. Nell has two younger sisters who sort of have their own storylines. Well, one of them does, anyway.
7. I won't even try to go into the plot any more, but so far the story is an absolute banger.
8. Orla with an English accent did take me a minute to get used to, but it's fun. Helps distinguish her from Orla, even though the actor will always be Orla McCool to me.
