Thank fuck, I survived both of my early shifts and tonight is my mini weekend.

Work continues to be work, but my frustration has kind of plateaued. 
Like, okay, it's apparently just going to stay busy indefinitely, and we are not going to hire another dishwasher until who knows when --- that really really really sucks out loud, but it is what it is. All I can do is try to manage my time the best I can.
Today I did a pretty great job! I wore my new NCH for most of the shift, and until after my lunch break I wasn't even listening to music: I just turned them on and pushed the little button to cancel the noise.
Basically, these fucking headphones are my new best friend. And one of the best friends I have ever had. 
Even though work WAS quite stressful, I stayed pretty peaceful, since something like eighty-five percent of the constant noise of the kitchen was just gone. Until breakfast was over, I helped myself mostly stay on top of everything by simply not walking any clean dishes back unless they happen to live in the back room or on that one rack directly between the dish pit and the back room. So that meant that one hundred percent of the metal coffee pitchers and small metal milk pitchers, and approximately ninety percent of all plates, just sat on the shelf unless someone other than me happened to grab a few. THIS WORKED REALLY WELL, even though I did need to use most of the "extra" time it created to keep fucking washing dishes --- but still, the point is, I really did stay on top of everything for almost the entire shift!
Definitely need to order at least one more pair of these NCH, because part of my brain never wants to work without them ever again (unless, someday, business does slow down?)

Okay, just to remind myself, I am currently sort of not-exactly-allowed to spend any more money on toys for the rest of February! Like, if I could, of course I would pre-order Fearbook Ghoulia right now, plus all five Moonspell Magic dolls. But the point is, this entry is less of a shopping list and more of a, well, ramble . . .

Alrighty, so I went to Amazon and searched for Fearbook Ghoulia. Still nothing. But one suggestion is Bianca Barclay --- currently only $20, so I might order before going to bed tonight! She's obviously my most wanted of all the MH Wednesday dolls, and that is such a fantastic price . . .

In general I am trying to ignore MH right now (although technically I guess MM is a spinoff?) and just focus on Dream Besties, but of course Venus has always been one of my faves. I used to have her G3 sig, who is currently only $18, and her Self Scare doll is only $17 . . . 

Other than this one specific Ghoulia and these two specific Venuses I really am trying to ignore Monster High at the moment, BUT just for fun let's see what kind of deals I can find on Frankies!
Oh dang, so many! In general I think G3 is brilliant, but of the main three, Frankie usually has my favorite dolls. I am not going to buy any right now, but if I did I would choose Welcome Committee - $28

Another self-reminder that this is only for fun, but I just looked up Clawdeen's bedroom. This one has two options: Just the furniture is $53, or the furniture plus Clawdeen & Draculaura & some extra accessories is $110. I'd probably splurge for the set with the dolls.

Searching for her bedroom meant that Amazon showed me Monster Ball Clawdeen. Currently $18. HMMMMMM. I fucking love it when dolls have a dance line and at least one main character gets to wear a suit instead of a dress!

They also showed me that a super-fancy Clawdeen, usually almost $100, is currently half off. But I don't really want her, so that's fine.

Should I see what's up with Draculaura?

Oh snap, her 2.0 doll (who I will pretty much Need, at some point, to hang out with all of the new MM witches---) is only $18! That's definitely the number one Draculaura doll I am most likely to spend money on any time soon, but of course there are countless others. I used to have all of the Scare-adise Island dolls and loved them, so I'd like to get the other three again eventually, even if they are not high priority at the moment. Although it really would kind of make sense to get them to hang out with my Dream Besties beach dolls, n'est pas?

I'm not even going to look her up (I know I would have to go to eBay or maybe Mercari), but eventually I would like to get Boo York Nefera again. 
Right now Amazon does have one G3 Nefera who is fabulous, but I definitely do not need her right now.

What's up with Twyla?
She has three dolls on Amazon right now. I would be most inclined to buy Fearbook or Creepover Party, both of whom are a bit pricey

Well, of course she has many cute dolls, but none that really need to try to add themselves to my cart right now.

Amazon does have all four of the first dolls, but Cady is by far the most affordable at $170.

I'm not even going to check prices, but eventually I will want more Wicked dolls (right now I only have one Elphaba).

And Disney dolls --- mainly Little Mermaid, of course, but for some reason at the moment multiple Sleeping Beauty dolls are also on my radar.

Other than Biana I'm probably not going to buy any of the MH Wednesday dolls, but then again, all of them are perfection.

When I ordered the Dream Besties beach dolls, I also added one Funko Pop to my cart to push my total over the minimum for free shipping. This one was from the 1995 MMPR movie. Aisha, of course. She shipped before the dolls, and by the time they did arrive I had also ordered Kimberly, and now I want the Ninja Megazord too, and might or might not get Ivan Ooze. The thing about Funko Pops is that most of the time I do not like their weird soulless black eyes (meaning that Power Rangers are an exception!), but in his case it kind of works?

Once all of my current incomings arrive I really am finally going to order that five-tier snap shelf . . . but I could also use some small wall-mounted shelves to display stuff on the walls above my bed, you know?

It's almost 2:00, so I guess I should try to sleep or read or something.

It's currently 1:55 AM and I'm wide awake!

Work has been a little extra stressful lately. I don't feel like talking about it, and in a way there isn't even anything to say. Work is always going to be a struggle. 

"Tomorrow" I start my deep-c lean shift at 3:00 PM. That is currently thirteen hours away. Thirteen hours is simultaneously a very long time, and not nearly enough. 

Lately my attention span rarely sticks to anything. I mean, theoretically I am still re-watching all of Schitt's Creek, but I'm not devoting all of my free time to it, you know? I could easily list at least one dozen books, films, and televisions I would love to enjoy right now, but I'm so goddamn fucking exhausted that it's kind of impossible, you know? The other night I actually started Ever After (which happens to be one of Lori's favorite movies ever, which I somehow did not know) and thoroughly enjoyed it . . . but pushed pause with like an hour of movie left. I kind of wanted to start over and watch the whole movie tonight, but it's already a few minutes after two. 

. . . Although, you know, MAYBE I SHOULD just purposely stay awake until breakfast slash pakidge pickup time?

. . . Then again, maybe not: maybe what I should do is get some sleep after posting this, then pick up my pakidges before lunch?

Either way, I really need to pick up these pakidges ASAP because one of them is the box containing all four Dream Besties beach dolls! Unfortunately they're all held for pickup, so if I did go after breakfast I'd have to wait until the post office opens at 8:00. Hmmm.

I am very close to having every last one of my incomings delivered, but did order three new things: a lockbox for work so I can keep a few less supplies in my bag, a *deep breath* RECENT TRINI-FOCUSED MMPR NOVEL ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS, and a Yellow Ranger ID holder with lanyard.

Once everything does get delivered, I will finally order a five-tier snap shelf. That should be more than enough space to display almost all of my toys. For now. After that, I guess my next big Room Need purchase will be a mini fridge.

Yes, once again, Saturday is My Sunday . . . and this one is pretty fucking great so far!

According to my phone, I have five pakidges being held for pickup: a big box of Goldfish; canned carrots; lo mein noodles; another portable charger; and an Amazon box containing my Janis doll and some snacks.

Here are two Very Important Doll Updates:

1. Skater is obviously my favorite Dream Besties Malibu doll, but two of her accessories have annoying quirks. Like a lot of dolls, she has a beverage with a lid and a straw. Unlike most dolls, the lid and straw (one piece) can be removed AND there is no way to secure it! She also has a compact which seems to be impossible to open without breaking. WHY would you do this to me personally, Mattel?!

2. One pair of pants that came with Festival Looks Malibu has been missing for days. Probably at least a week, if not even longer? I had pretty much given up on finding them without divine intervention or whatever . . . but then a few minutes ago, I actually did find them! They had fallen into the frame of the second bed, perfectly tucked between the frame and the bottom mattress!
I still love the Festival Looks set a lot, so much that I might buy it a second time so my dolls have more clothes to share amongst themselves. I love the "one doll, multiple outfits" concept and seriously wish Mattel would release similar sets for every other Dream Besties character.

I don't really want to order any more toys (with the possible exception of my next Mean Girls Bratz!) until one hundred percent of my currently "incoming" stuff has been "delivered," but I am getting into lip balm lately. Obviously, living in the desert means that my lips are usually pretty dry. Obviously, I have multiple tubes of chapstick (three of which actually live in the pink box that goes in my bag whenever I leave my room) . . . but I almost never actually put chapstick on my lips. It recently occurred to me that this might be because chapstick is not particularly fun, at least not for my brain. But LIP BALM is fun, so I have recently purchased an eight-pack of Lip Smackers Crayola and a two-pack of e.l.f. squeezey tubes (which I do like even though they are not as easy to apply as the other kind of tubes). Today I also ordered an eight-pack of Coca-Cola flavors and one Lippy Pal. If I throw two or three of these in a small tin along with one chapstick, MAYBE my brain will be able to trick itself into applying all of them regularly so that my lips can actually stay moisturized? Maybe?

I'm not even allowed to order her until I actually bring Janis home ( . . . after work on Monday . . . ), but I suppose my next toy purchase will probably be Spring Fling Cady.
OR two more Dream Besties.
OR another Boyfriend Ken.
OR an action figure.

If the Buffy MH two-pack was available for pre-order, I would pay for that now. Yesterday I was thinking about how Mean Girls was my personal gateway drug into Bratz, but their Clueless dolls are also so good that I almost want them even though I have never seen Clueless! Which got me thinking about how, if they ever make Charmed dolls, I will literally vanquish anyone foolish enough to try to stop me from buying all four.
Especially Paige.

Speaking of Bratz! I mentioned the Slumber Party dolls to Lori, and now I know that very similar dolls were made over twenty years ago --- but back then Jade had short hair! It was so much cuter that way! I do still want all five of the current dolls (well, not so much Jade anymore), but they weren't exactly at the top of my priority purchases list anyway; now, whenever I do get around to actually wanting to buy them, I should compare and contrast the current dolls with the classic ones. 

What are my doll priority purchases, then? Let's see . . .
1. every other Dream Besties doll --- at least once, often twice
2. every other Mean Girls Bratz doll (hunt for bargains)
3. whenever Mattel wants to let me pay for her, I NEED FEARBOOK GHOULIA

I love Kuromi more than words can say, and I sincerely hope that they will make at least one more series of three characters other than these three!

I still need to write an in-depth post about all of the KPop Demon Hunters toys. Basically, I will be getting all of the "How It's Done" dolls and possibly Jinu; if they will still let me buy them, I want the first "What It Sounds Like" dolls we saw; I need most of the action figures; I will probably get some of the blind box tiny toys; and I am unfortunately considering Hot Toys Mira.

P.S. Amazon still has not refunded me for that "undeliverable" order. I am fairly certain I have never had an "undeliverable" order before. It seems to me that, since they can't just re-send the items in that order (for . . . some reason), they should automatically refund me. They really should, but it hasn't happened yet. I had to chat with customer service, and even though my rep tried to be helpful, the whole experience was so frustrating and annoying that I'm still not sure if I will actually get my fucking refund in five to seven business days. 

Honestly, I’ve always been rather indifferent to Bratz. They’re just not my thing. Occasionally I will see one somewhere and think, “Oh, she is particularly cute!” — but I can’t remember a time I have ever seriously considered, you know, actually purchasing one (except, of course, for Bratzillaz, which are usually so expensive that I’m probably never gonna seriously collect them).

Until Mean Girls.

But again, they’re so expensive that I figured I would never buy any.

Now that I have ordered Janis (who hasn’t shipped yet) and seriously considered spending several hundred dollars on the other six dolls (which I ultimately did not go through with, but now I will have to get them all eventually), I’m also aware of a Very Merry Sasha and Cloe (I’m pretty sure it’s just those two?) who I seriously want because they are just barely Mean Girls-adjacent.

And then there are a few others I have kind of considered, but haven’t added to my cart yet.

But then today I stumbled upon Slumber Party Yasmin, who as it turns out is one of five dolls.

I must have all five.
