Surely I have felt “even more” burnt out than this at some point(s) in the past, but I am pretty thoroughly burnt the fuck out right now. I’m not suicidal, but I am completely out of anything resembling will to live. And I do kind of pray for death because, well, it would be a relief. Capitalism has always been bullshit, and living under the thumb of evil politicians has always been frustrating (what an understatement!), but ever since Uvalde everything seems pretty pointless, you know?
Anyway.
Quite a lot of this burnout is money-related. Fortunately, today is my first payday! Unfortunately, this check will not be big enough to cover rent. The next one will, but I won’t get it until several days after rent is due. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to work it out with my landlord, who was another tenant until a few weeks ago; or sell something; or maybe even get a loan (as if), but still, this system is bullshit. Why are billionaires allowed to exist while anyone on the planet is ever worried about rent? Or food or healthcare? And why don’t they have to pay taxes?
Ugh, thinking about it makes me even more burnt out.
Gotta get ready for work! Let’s hope my boss shows up to hand over my check SOONER THAN LATER.
