Janis Ian, Dyke

Oh my good golly gush, I seriously love this doll more than words can say!

Seriously. For the moment I have decided not to decide who will be my second Mean Girls Bratz . . . but whenever I do, my choice might be a second Janis to keep in the box. 

Unfortunately, I have only just barely begun to unbox this one. I was very eager to do it right away, but I'm a wee bit anxious about getting everything out of there without damaging anything. For example, her second outfit: That outer shirt has SIX visible tiny plastic tabs to keep it in place. FOR WHY?

(I know I complain about unboxing all the time --- unless I'm delighted to find that it's actually very easy --- but if there was an option to pay extra for a special frustration-free version of the doll, I would absolutely do it. Shipped directly from the toy company in a special mailer box, foam peanuts to keep the doll box from bouncing around inside the mailer, with the doll and accessories wrapped in individual paper or something? Yes please!
Janis is by far the least expensive doll in this entire line, so I am already extra anxious about unboxing the others, whenever that happens . . .)

But anyway, yes, I love this doll. Mean Girls is one of my favorite movies ever, and I've always wanted dolls, and I've always wanted a Janis doll the most (even though she is not Plastic) --- and MGA crushed it. Her accessories are brilliant, and I love that her second outfit is the one she was wearing when she said, "I've got a big, lesbian crush on you --- SUCK ON THAT!"

Of course, the inner box art makes me very sad that this doll isn't one half of a two-pack with Damian. Even fucking though they have the same fucking Spring Fling outfit.

If they ever make a second Janis doll, I hope she's wearing her outfit from the first day of school.
And, again, I can't stress this enough, she should be one half of a two-pack with Damian. PLEASE. I would seriously pre-order and gladly pay too much. Make this happen and take my money, ughghghghghggh.


P.S. The more I think about it, the more I really do wish that Bratz would make (at least) four Charmed dolls. Oh my dolly goddess---
I would pass out. Which would be worth it.

Blah Blah Blah

It's currently 1:55 AM and I'm wide awake!

Work has been a little extra stressful lately. I don't feel like talking about it, and in a way there isn't even anything to say. Work is always going to be a struggle. 

"Tomorrow" I start my deep-c lean shift at 3:00 PM. That is currently thirteen hours away. Thirteen hours is simultaneously a very long time, and not nearly enough. 

Lately my attention span rarely sticks to anything. I mean, theoretically I am still re-watching all of Schitt's Creek, but I'm not devoting all of my free time to it, you know? I could easily list at least one dozen books, films, and televisions I would love to enjoy right now, but I'm so goddamn fucking exhausted that it's kind of impossible, you know? The other night I actually started Ever After (which happens to be one of Lori's favorite movies ever, which I somehow did not know) and thoroughly enjoyed it . . . but pushed pause with like an hour of movie left. I kind of wanted to start over and watch the whole movie tonight, but it's already a few minutes after two. 

. . . Although, you know, MAYBE I SHOULD just purposely stay awake until breakfast slash pakidge pickup time?

. . . Then again, maybe not: maybe what I should do is get some sleep after posting this, then pick up my pakidges before lunch?

Either way, I really need to pick up these pakidges ASAP because one of them is the box containing all four Dream Besties beach dolls! Unfortunately they're all held for pickup, so if I did go after breakfast I'd have to wait until the post office opens at 8:00. Hmmm.

I am very close to having every last one of my incomings delivered, but did order three new things: a lockbox for work so I can keep a few less supplies in my bag, a *deep breath* RECENT TRINI-FOCUSED MMPR NOVEL ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS, and a Yellow Ranger ID holder with lanyard.

Once everything does get delivered, I will finally order a five-tier snap shelf. That should be more than enough space to display almost all of my toys. For now. After that, I guess my next big Room Need purchase will be a mini fridge.
