Anticipation
Aug. 11th, 2023 11:32 pmPRAISE HESTIA, I am relatively safe at home on a Friday night! It is currently 11:33 pm, so there are about fifteen and a half hours until I can check in to the hotel. With that in mind, the most important part of today was acquiring new cannabis, which I did. In addition to the two vapes (both Pink Acai, I heart this strain!) I would have bought anyway, I further treated myself to a bag of gummies and a honey lemonade shot, which were $10 each. That's pretty good for two hundred milligrams! I am so excited that I better have some NyQuil to be sure I can fall asleep tonight!
Anyway. Before checking in, I should probably do laundry in the morning. While I'm there, I can walk a few feet to 7Eleven and retrieve my epsom salt from their Amazon Locker. After checking in, I'll empty my backpack and walk to Target & Food4Less for beverages, fresh fruit(s), bagels, turkey?, mustard?, cheese?, Puffy Cheetos, sorbet, popsicles, and maybe a few other things. Or maybe that''s enough, because I also want to conclude my trip with a stop at Del Taco for FRIES and other hexcellent stoner food.
At work tonight my random playlist brought "3 Small Words" from Josie and the Pussycats, so I texted Lori some of my favorite lyrics and she responded that she should watch it again, which made me think about how dang much I too want to watch it again. Thought about watching it tonight, actually, but it's not available for free, which seems like a good enough reason to wait until I am in the blessed hotel and my body & spirit are both seriously stone'd.
Obviously I'm not fully paying attention to it, but I started the new Gal Gadot superspy movie, which seems to be as fun as you'd expect from that description. Will definitely watch it again when I can give it more, if not all, of my attention.
How fucking fun would it be if she was the co-star in a second Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey movie?
But who would play Ivy?? If they decided to make another Harley movie without Ivy, WHY???
Obviously it would have been amazing to see Gal share the screen with Margot in Barbie, but Wonder Woman & Harley would be a thousand times better!
This line of thought almost makes me want to wonder which superhero movies I might want to watch tomorrow, but then I'd list like twenty and have to narrow them down, which I would rather not. If it didn't make last night's list, it's not on any list. Heh.
Last weekend I watched the Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir movie. It did make me kind of want a few dolls, but did not necessarily make me want to watch five fucking seasons of the show. More superheroes should live in Paris. I would automatically be interested in any superhero story set in Paris.
Here's a quick note about Dad. My thirty-sixth birthday is coming up, which means that slightly less than one month later I will have lived longer than he did. Wrapping my head around this is strange, and then tonight it occurred to me that he was somewhat shorter than I am now, which is normal but feels weird because I was so young when he died.
