El Cajon: Definitely, Maybe?
Dec. 6th, 2024 07:51 pm This morning I had an interview and got an offer for a seasonal job in Death Valley. Unfortunately it doesn't start for more than a month, but the season is five months long. The nice thing about seasonal work is that housing & food costs are incredibly low (this particular job offers free breakfast & lunch and $4 dinners), so by the end of the season I should be able to save approximately $7,000. Even if I don't have another job lined up right away (which of course I will try to make happen), that's enough to pay my first three months of rent and still have a few thousand left to live on and finally move back into my old apartment building.
I am not consumed by the darkness because I am full of light. Even if it hasn't felt like it lately.
