Michelle Trachtenberg is Dead

I don't usually cry when famous artists die, no matter how much I love them, because their famous art lives on forever.
But this one really hurts.
She was amazing in Harriet the Spy, and if that movie hadn't come out when it did, I might never have been inspired to read the book that became, quite literally, My Favorite Book of All Time. So in that way alone, she helped change my life for the better, even though I obviously never knew her.
When I first heard the news I thought maybe I should watch Harriet the Spy, but now I feel like it might be too painful to watch right away. And of course, without even trying, I can think of multiple Buffy scenes that are going to punch me in the stomach the next time I watch them.
Speaking of Buffy, I'm sure Sarah Michelle Gellar is much more devastated than I am right now.
