It’s 3:07 and I’m already home. I clocked out at 2:29. That’s ridonkulously early, but here’s what happened: Since tonight is My Monday, I checked the schedule. For some reason which I cannot understand, it says that I am working seven nights in a row. Tonight, then tomorrow night, then five more nights before I get another weekend.

Does Chef really think I want to work this much?

Is he hoping I will drop dead before these seven nights are over, and that way he won’t have to fire me?

I mean, seriously. I have been trying to let it go and move on, but ever since I showed up and saw that my schedule had been changed without any kind of notice, I can’t help but worry that someday soon I will show up and see that I have been fired without any kind of notice. 

Unfortunately I am not surprised that Chef would schedule me for seven nights in a row and not tell me first so soon after switching my schedule to overnight shifts without telling me first.

But it seriously doesn’t make sense that we have apparently gone from “no one is doing this job and that’s fine” to “Ryan needs to do this job seven nights in a row” so quickly.

Can I just write my own fucking schedule from now on? Four nights a week and I’m done, I fucking swear.
