Mermaid Bathroom Ideas
May. 7th, 2026 09:45 pmFor the basics, I really like a set such as this one.
Although I still want a plain curtain with pockets to go on the inside of the shower.
Eventually I will scour eBay for a really gorgeous vintage beach or bath towel that fits the vibe, but if for some reason that takes a while or something, I could always fall back on something simple but cute like this set of three hand towels.
Thee funnest part of this bathroom makeover will be installing this tension rod corner shelf to display mermaid (and fish and eel and sea witch and crab and guppy and many other undersea friend) toys.
In the corner farthest away from the shower, but still in the bathroom.
I will not, in this moment, take the time to list all of the toys I want for my mermaid bathroom. For now, let's just say that obviously my favorite movie ever and its 2023 remake generated lots of toys.
Also, obviously I will get at least one mermaid Barbie . . .
I would hope to find something similar that is less expensive (especially since I probably wouldn't use the soap dispenser?), but this set is very pretty. Although, technically, my "bathroom counter" is not actually in the bathroom! This post is about ideas for the actual bathroom! Shower, toilet, and the rest of the space within those four walls ONLY! Heh.
Oh, speaking of the shower, I guess I don't need to provide a link since I have already ordered four of them, but of course I really am very excited about the small shower shelves I ordered earlier today. When I took a shower an hour or two ago I paid attention, and the row of tiles I have in mind usually gets zero splashing.
But also, I could get another two-pack of these shower shelves for toys that are okay to get wet! They could go on either side of the shower itself! Or maybe right under it.
This is so extra, but since I do currently wear the same sandals in the shower, in my room, down the hall to and from the laundry room, and even in the shuttle to or from the EDR,
it would be nice to get a separate pair that I only ever wear in the shower.
For everything except toys, I just want to remind myself, the goal will be to get everything this new bathroom will need officially ordered on or before the first of July! I can do it, and I will, and it's gonna be fun! Getting clean in a mermaid bathroom is gonna be so much better!
And I haven't found the perfect one yet, but obviously I would love at least one piece of art to hang on the wall in my mermaid bathroom. This wall art doesn't have to be The Little Mermaid, specifically, but I have a feeling it just might be . . .
