My Sunday Night

Sigh, yes, once again I approach the end of My Weekend. 

As much as I wanted to stay in my room (drinking wine and eating snacks and watching Heated Rivalry), part of my brain did point out that I really will sleep better tonight, and therefore have an easier time waking up early tomorrow and getting through my entire shift, if I go to the EDR and eat something substantial.

So I did, and I'm very glad I did! They had many good options and I ate a whole plate, but the highlight was one of the desserts: Rice Krispies Treats! I took three little squares, and they were so goddamn fucking good.

Anyway, now that I'm fed and showered and don't need to do any laundry right now, I am gonna spend the rest of the night watching the last three episodes of Heated Rivalry. Sometime soon I will Need To type up some recaps for all six episodes, because I love this story so much that I feel like I have to document exactly how much I personally love every little moment. 

I'm not sure, but the last time I stumbled upon a totally new story that blew my mind and got me obsessed with it this much this fast . . . yeah, I think the last time was probably Yellowjackets (which makes it pretty funny that these shows share two actors!), which was, hmmm, approximately a few months less than three years ago? 

So yeah, quite a while since the last time I fell in love with a story like this. Except, was it ever like this? I'm always looking for queer characters everywhere, and sometimes they actually show up in canon, but with Heated Rivalry the entire story is SO goddamn gay! It's literally just a Romance between two very attractive men. 

Part of my brain has been compiling a list of my favorite fictional couples so that I can think about them and take some time and honestly ask myself, "Do I seriously like them even more than Shane and Ilya?" (For example, even though it has been less than one entire week since I started watching the show, I really think I do like Shane and Ilya even more than Luke and Lorelai, who have been one of my favorite couples EVER for decades.)
This is completely normal fan behavior, and no one can tell me it isn't.

Incomings

Forgot to mention this in my last post, but after dinner I picked up two pakidges (one toy and one book) from the post office. 

With those taken care of, my current incomings are:

* box of cannabis 
* Heated Rivalry the book, small notebook, and a twelve-pack of fun socks
* three pakidges of various snacks and restocks from Walmart
* another Doorables set, Rivaling Royals, should be delivered very soon!
* and Mystique is on her way as well

I'm generally being pretty good right now, and it doesn't even feel all that difficult? I'm definitely going to order the rest of the HR books sooner than later, and I'll continue to indulge in some tiny toys, but for the moment I am quite content to push pause on getting any more dolls or action figures or pretty much anything I "don't need" other than tiny toys. Which makes it easy to spend as little as possible and slash or only spend on essentials or truly useful things for my room.

Right now, the Doorables I have on display are Marvel S1 and S2, the Fantastic Four First Steps set, and a set of four Disney Villains with one pet each. When I pick up Rivaling Royals, I will open that set along with Olaf Presents and Encanto. That will be fun. I'm not sure which set I will order next. When Mystique arrives I'll order Gambit, Ultron, or Sandman. Maybe all three? Still annoyed about paying so much for individual tiny toys, but DO want them all and WOULD like to get that out of the way . . .

Oh, and the toy I picked up today is the watermelon fruit bat from the Funko Paka Paka line! I've had lime and orange for years and finally decided to get them another friend. Not sure if I will buy any more of these? If I did, I really like the two strawberries, especially the white one? Both avocados are also very cute, as is the kiwi. Okay, they are all very cute, BUT I don't need to buy all of them! At least, I'm fairly certain I don't. Definitely not right away, or anything.
But I am really really happy to have the watermelon! Definitely my fave of the three I have, and not just because it's new.
