Room Stuff

Today, after several days of contemplation, I rearranged the layout of the furniture on my wall. Starting at the hallway, the order is now: random table, snap shelf, wardrobe, dresser, bit of blank space, and then the AC. 

The dresser and wardrobe are both big enough and heavy enough that I just cleared them off and slid them down. Shortly after getting them all situated, I realized that the outlet which is most convenient for charging my laptop was now blocked. Sigh. 

Fortunately, I was able to maneuver the dresser so that it is now far enough away from the wall that the laptop cord is plugged in again. Eventually I could get a power strip with a flat plug and use that to charge my laptop and maybe a few other things, but it really doesn't bother me to have the dresser a few inches away from the wall.

Even more fortunately, I definitely have enough space to get a slim bookshelf someday.
OR, I could get a slightly wider bookshelf like that one and rotate the snap shelf so that it takes up less wall space (in which case I would only use it to hold comic book long boxes! brilliant!)
OR, I could rotate the snap shelf and keep it between TWO slim bookshelves!

I also installed a set of risers for the second bed, which created just enough space to slide both suitcases under there.

I'm not sure what my next big room purchase will be, but one thing I have just realized is that since the big suitcase no longer takes up any floor space, I could now put a small bookshelf where it used to be! Or perhaps a table or something?

X-Men Red
I have read this before (a few times --- it is short) and it's very fun.
Adult Jean returns to life after fourteen years of publishing time, and assembles her own team which includes Nightcrawler, Laura the Best Wolverine, Honey Badger, and a Wakandan mutant named Gentle.

Jean Grey
About a year before X-Men Red, Teen Jean has a bunch of fun solo adventures. Again, I have read this before a few times.

Iceman
Well, obviously I have read this before, and obviously I need to add it to my current library!

Dazzler
It's partly nostalgia, because I did have at least one issue about twenty years ago --- but even if that wasn't the case, I am intrigued to read this. She wasn't even an X-Man at the time, and her big movie never got made, but she still had her own book in the eighties, and it lasted for forty-two fucking issues! That's pretty impressive!
Also, I do genuinely adore the character, in case that wasn't clear. 

Psylocke
Other than the fact that Betsy and Kwannon un-switched bodies several publishing years ago, and some time after that Betsy fell in love with Rachel, and a vague understanding that Krakoa is no longer a thing, I don't really know what's going on with Psylocke these days. But Kwannon is Psylocke, and she has her own recent book, and I should really just read it! So, maybe I will.

Well, today is fucking great because I found a free fridge!

Somepony left it in the hallway with a note that said, "My roommate left this. I don't know if it was hers or Xanterra's. All I know is it's clean, it works, and I don't need it."

I do know that the fridge isn't Xanterra property, because they usually don't give people fridges UNLESS they get left behind just like this! 

Obviously, I have been planning to purchase some sort of fridge for my room someday --- but, purely for reasons of logisticals, I cannot stress enough how fucking TINY this hypothetical fridge was. Like, at most, big enough to hold twelve cans, maybe.

This actual fridge could easily hold two of those fridges and still have some room left over. 

I am so, so, so incredibly grateful for this.

Clothes

Black is usually my favorite color to wear, but being required to wear all black at work does mean that when I am not on the clock, I really want to wear anything else (and even when I am on the clock I find small ways to sneak in other colors, but that isn't the point of this post).

I'm still waiting for two of them to arrive, but I have recently ordered three pairs of stretchy pants. Two of them are the same pants I do wear at work (meaning I already know how comfortable they are --- brilliant), but in different colors. I might or might not order matching jackets for either or both of them.
And then today I ordered one more pair of pants, which are my favorite so far.

Last year I bought two different six-packs of fun Halloween socks. They were cheap and didn't last forever, so they need to be replaced, but they're cute enough that I will probably buy at least one of the exact same packs again.

I think I have mentioned on here that I have recently purchased three tie-dye shirts from the same company on eBay.
Today I found a fourth tie-dye shirt on Amazon, which is particularly exciting because it is also a Little Mermaid shirt!

This will be my second fun colorful astronaut shirt, and this will be my third.

So far I have not ordered either one, but there are two fun colorful fish shirts hanging out in my cart.

Right now I have six TMNT shirts, half of which are from Mutant Mayhem.

Earlier tonight I finally ordered a Sailor Moon shirt I've had saved for a while, but it got canceled. That's a bummer. But I have also ordered this fun space shirt!

While searching for Buffy shirts I stumbled upon this one, which I think I might need.

And, of course, at some point I will need at least one MMPR shirt . . .

Oh, I also have some fun shoes on the way! 

And if I can find one that's perfect for me, I would love to get a Samurai Pizza Cats shirt.
