Yellowjackets Season 2 Trailer - Still seriously one of the best trailers I have ever seen in my life

two of my favorite scenes from CHARMED
WB: second time they kill The Source Of All Evil, which is great because the spell starts with Piper calling on Prue, Grams, Patty, and Melinda
CW: another witch they've never met breaks into their home . . . and threatens Maggie, so Macy yells "Stay away from my sister!" and throws her through a window

Buffy Season Seven Trailer
and one of my favorite scenes from the finale, which is the moment where Buffy tells The First Evil, "I want you . . . to get out of my face" as she slowly stands up despite a mortal wound and jumps back into the fight with Faith and their small army of brand-new Slayers, UGH, it's one of my favorite moments in television full stop

Gilmore Girls 407, 408, any episode between 306-310

three best scenes from Netflix Sabrina
* Witch Exorcism - "VISIT US, SISTERS, INTERCEDE ON OUR BEHALF!"
* the whole cast performing "Masquerade" to distract Lucifer
* Zelda's invocation of Hekate

We Are WITCH Theme Song (but, the full song, since the actual theme song is only thirty seconds)

Ms Marvel Trailer

Will & Grace BLOOPERS

any episode of Grace & Frankie, Derry Girls, Sailor Moon, Parks and Rec; the one episode of New Girl where they wake up hungover and realize they have to go to a one-year-old's birthday party

MMPR, She-Ra, other superhero shows that may or may not be based on comic books

I totally forgot about this movie until yootoob randomly reminded me the other day, but I did and still do really want to watch it! Camila Mendes & Maya Hawke are already appealing enough, but then also, SARAH MICHELLE fucking GELLAR???!!! Yes fucking please! She’s their headmaster or something, so she might only be onscreen for five minutes across the whole story, but still, Sarah Michelle Gellar! One of my favorite professional liars in the history of television! Or in this case, movies.

Fuck. I love her so much. Alyson and Charisma too, of course.

What other actors, only considering television examples, do I love nearly as much as Sarah Michelle Gellar?

Other awesome nerds from Buffy, of course! Emma goshdamn Caulfield, Eliza Dushku, Anthony Stewart Head, Michelle Trachtenberg, and I’ll stop there. Just kidding! I will for real stop after also mentioning Juliet Landau and James Marsters, duh.

Holly Marie Combs

Nina Dobrev, Kat Graham, Candice Accola; other TVD people, but especially those three

Kelly Bishop, Lauren Graham, and Alexis Bledel
plus Melissa McCarthy, obviouslyyy~
Emily Kuroda and Keiko Agena

Dante Basco

Tara Strong and everypony else who voiced the Mane Six

Oy vey, I am BEYOND READY for it to be this time tomorrow, please!

Yesterday morning I had a Zoom interview with Platinum Security. Unless I somehow missed the one time it came up, my interviewer never told me his name, and still hasn't. But I crushed it, so he made an offer and emailed me some onboarding documents right before we hung up. I took care of those last night (mostly - the website wouldn't let me upload photos of my Guard Card and ID, so I had to send them via text instead, which I did shortly after arriving at work today). We scheduled another Zoom thing for Monday morning, and he ordered a uniform for me.

However.

In a little less than twelve hours, I have another interview with another company. Platinum kind of makes me nervous because the schedule is brutal and I would have lots of coworkers again, so I'm hoping this place also wants me and makes a better offer. I bought a new shirt for my interview, which I'm going to pair with actual pants instead of shorts in an attempt to make them think I'm something other than garbage.

Of course my stupid brain is trying to do it anyway, but there is currently zero point in weighing the pros and cons.

It's currently 11:00, and my goal is to wake up by 8:00 and leave by 8:45, walk to the trolley, and make it to my interview with plenty of time to spare. Then I can take the trolley to work, and naturally I am not excited about doing that on less sleep than normal, but it is a Friday, and today I conjured a bag of cannabis. One 1g vape (Premium Jack, one of my favorite strains ever!), two bags of gummies, and three 100mg honey lemonade shots.

So, yeah.

Winds of time,
Gather 'round!

Give me wings
To speed my way

Rush me on
My journey forward

Let tomorrow
Be today

PRAISE HESTIA, I am relatively safe at home on a Friday night! It is currently 11:33 pm, so there are about fifteen and a half hours until I can check in to the hotel. With that in mind, the most important part of today was acquiring new cannabis, which I did. In addition to the two vapes (both Pink Acai, I heart this strain!) I would have bought anyway, I further treated myself to a bag of gummies and a honey lemonade shot, which were $10 each. That's pretty good for two hundred milligrams! I am so excited that I better have some NyQuil to be sure I can fall asleep tonight!

Anyway. Before checking in, I should probably do laundry in the morning. While I'm there, I can walk a few feet to 7Eleven and retrieve my epsom salt from their Amazon Locker. After checking in, I'll empty my backpack and walk to Target & Food4Less for beverages, fresh fruit(s), bagels, turkey?, mustard?, cheese?, Puffy Cheetos, sorbet, popsicles, and maybe a few other things. Or maybe that''s enough, because I also want to conclude my trip with a stop at Del Taco for FRIES and other hexcellent stoner food.

At work tonight my random playlist brought "3 Small Words" from Josie and the Pussycats, so I texted Lori some of my favorite lyrics and she responded that she should watch it again, which made me think about how dang much I too want to watch it again. Thought about watching it tonight, actually, but it's not available for free, which seems like a good enough reason to wait until I am in the blessed hotel and my body & spirit are both seriously stone'd.

Obviously I'm not fully paying attention to it, but I started the new Gal Gadot superspy movie, which seems to be as fun as you'd expect from that description. Will definitely watch it again when I can give it more, if not all, of my attention.

How fucking fun would it be if she was the co-star in a second Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey movie?

But who would play Ivy?? If they decided to make another Harley movie without Ivy, WHY???

Obviously it would have been amazing to see Gal share the screen with Margot in Barbie, but Wonder Woman & Harley would be a thousand times better!

This line of thought almost makes me want to wonder which superhero movies I might want to watch tomorrow, but then I'd list like twenty and have to narrow them down, which I would rather not. If  it didn't make last night's list, it's not on any list. Heh.

Last weekend I watched the Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir movie. It did make me kind of want a few dolls, but did not necessarily make me want to watch five fucking seasons of the show. More superheroes should live in Paris. I would automatically be interested in any superhero story set in Paris.

Here's a quick note about Dad. My thirty-sixth birthday is coming up, which means that slightly less than one month later I will have lived longer than he did. Wrapping my head around this is strange, and then tonight it occurred to me that he was somewhat shorter than I am now, which is normal but feels weird because I was so young when he died.

I just checked the math several times, and I seriously do not understand how I am always so broke. Even with rent, phone, streaming services, food & drink, weed, and transit pass factored into the budget, I should have a few hundred dollars left every month after taking care of all expenses. I don’t buy that many toys, last weekend was the first time I let myself order from Grubhub in a while, and I regularly check my balance before big purchases. Where the actual fuck does my money go? It doesn’t make sense.

I just watched the Wan & Raava two-parter in an attempt to perk the fuck up, and (as usual) got chills at the end when Korra wakes up from her vision coma and the fire sages ask, "Do you know who you are?" and she says, "My name is Korra. I'm the Avatar."
CHILLS
Plus, you know, obviously Wan & Raava make me cry every time.

I decided that I most certainly am treating myself to a hotel room this weekend. Already booked, hex yeah! Saturday afternoon is gonna be awesome and stay awesome until I check out the next morning! I placed my weed order, to be delivered tomorrow, so I'll have to withdraw cash on my way to work. Bulbasaur and Pinkie Pie are two of the toys I'll need to bring, as well as some Cloudees and Mixlings, and maybe the $1 fantasy animals from Target. Plus, it occurred to me that I could even bring a box of Doorables and actually open them! While I'm there I may or may not order Grubhub, and almost definitely will walk to buy food from Del Taco or somewhere else. Oooh, and I should get Puffy Cheetos! And grapes. Fruit salad? Grapes AND fruit salad? I will have some serious munchies . . .

These are some of the things I might watch while I am in the hotel!
  • any episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Gilmore Girls, or ATLA/Korra
  • Cocaine Bear
  • Netflix Sabrina
  • WinxFate
  • The Lion King? (this makes me think of Dad, which I have been doing more than usual lately anyway, so it might or might not be a good idea)
  • A Little Princess?
  • A Wrinkle in Time?
  • yep, that's three films that make me think about Dad
  • already said any episode of Buffy, but might as well specify "The Body"
  • oh, speaking of Buffy, will definitely watch the season seven trailer several times!
  • two best scenes from Netflix Sabrina: the witch exorcism, and the whole coven forming a circle around Zelda for her invocation of Hekate
  • We Are WITCH theme song
  • The Emperor's New Groove
  • Lilo & Stitch
  • Beauty and the Beast
  • countless other Disney animated movies
  • The Parent Trap
  • Spy, or anything else starring Melissa McCarthy
  • Derry Girls, especially the season three episode about the mammies when they were teenagers
  • "Bloom of Doom" or any other episode of MMPR, preferably focusing on at least one of the girls
  • Sailor Moon
  • Harley Quinn - this show will eventually be the main reason I sign up for Max. As of this writing I haven't seen any of season four, but thanks to the title of a yootoob video, I know that at some point Harley fights Alfred, which could be one of the most glorious scenes in all of Bat-media!
  • Yellowjackets, of course. I will have to either renew my Showtime subscription or buy the seasons outright. Either way, even if I don't do that, I almost definitely will watch the season two trailer several times. It pairs really well with cannabis.
  • it's only one night, so that's enough examples, but I could also say Modern Family or Pitch Perfect or Will & Grace or

I'm still not planning to open her until my actual birthday, but Rita Repulsa arrived while I was at work! Very exciting to finally have her here. Although now I kind of feel like I need some sort of Maleficent(s) to keep her in check. Heh.

Today I channeled my teenage self and listened to Evanescence and Story Of The Year. One full album from each band. Multiple times. (The albums in question were, what else, Fallen and Page Avenue.) I also thought about Avril Lavigne, but never got around to her.

Obviously, I do want to read the new Tara book, but with the mood I'm in lately it might just make me angry about her death.
Then again, with the mood I'm in lately, maybe I should watch "Seeing Red" and have a good cry? Gosh, I could even have a mini marathon of Tara's best episodes. Start with "Hush," of course. "Who Are You?" because she and Willow keep their clothes on but still have a magical orgasm on network television. "Restless," "Family," "The Body," "Tough Love," "The Gift," "Once More With Feeling," "Tabula Rasa," and then "Seeing Red." Wow, I both love and fucking hate this idea. I will never ever forgive Joss for killing her.
ryanreacts: (Default)
The bed support slats I ordered a few days ago arrived while I was at work today. Right now is my first time lying down on my mattress with them underneath, and HOT DANG, THIS FEELS SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!

Still considering the possibility of treating myself to a hotel room this weekend. Saturday night makes the most sense, of course. I definitely need to bring my laptop to watch things. No clothes other than the ones I'm wearing when I check in, so what else would I actually need to bring? At least one notebook and several pens, a few tiny toys, some library comics, one or two book books not from the library, and that may be everything. Well, not quite. Shortly after checking in and emptying my backpack, I'll need to leave and buy a bag of epsom salt, several bottles of Sparkling Ice, and some sort of simple food like bagels or fruit or something. Although, if I'm going to throw away income on a hotel room, there is a strong possibility that I will treat myself to Grubhub as well. And obviously I would buy a bit of cannabis. At least one vape, and slash or maybe gummies?

Hmmm

For the past few days, something I have been thinking about a lot is the possibility of treating myself to a hotel room this weekend. There's one I've stayed in before which is very nice because it has a gigantic bathtub. The thought of slowly sinking in after adding half a bag of epsom salt is much more pleasant than anything I've actually done in the last several days. Or months.

Part of my brain says I probably "should" talk myself out of this to save money, but a bigger part of my brain points out that nothing fucking matters anyway.

Room NEEDS

Aug. 5th, 2023 08:16 am
ryanreacts: (Default)
I have not made much progress on my room because funds are always limited, but did just order something that suddenly made itself essential (wooden slats to go between the mattress & the bed frame - I didn't think a memory foam mattress could sag in the middle, but mine definitely is, and it's kind of ruining my life), so now seems like a good time to refresh my mental list of priority purchases. What else does my bed need? Oh duh, PILLOWS. I currently have about half a dozen, but some of them need to be replaced, and even if that wasn't the case, I will never have enough pillows, possibly ever. But I really do need a body pillow and a reading pillow! And, technically they are not a "need," but I still really really really WANT five Little Mermaid Pillow Buddies.

Moving on from my actual bed, here's a list of priority purchases . . .
  • Green & White Display Shelves! (at least three, probably more)
  • The Perfect Desk
  • Rolly Spinny Desk Chair
  • Aladdin-Inspired Rug
  • Desktop Computer (something basic & cheap, because I will be upgrading the keyboard and monitor eventually anyway)
  • some sort of Entrances & Exits Shelf, or possibly Table, to go by the door
  • Pentagram Rug
  • more Storage Carts like the one I already have
  • Storage Bench
  • Big Kitchen Cart
  • Blender
  • Cutting Board(s)
  • Rose Gold Flatware
  • Slow Cooker
  • tons of other kitchen stuff, but let's start there

I am pissed off about multiple things at the moment, but of course the main struggle is money. Once again, I am quite desperate for my next check. Technically, payday is the seventh . . . but, since that happens to be a Monday, they just might deliver checks on Friday. Obviously I will not be holding my breath, but I am hoping for Friday, because I want to do something nice for myself this weekend, and if I don't get paid until Monday, well, my options will be severely limited.

"I hate money."
"You'd like it a lot more if you didn't have any."
ryanreacts: (Default)
Well, I am currently just a few chapters away from being done reading A Wonderlandiful World for the ?th time, and of course it makes me miss my Ever After High dolls. From memory, here is a partial list of the ones I would most like to add to my collection (either again or for the first time) if I had unlimited money and free time:
  • the original four, of course: Raven, Apple, Maddie, and Briar
  • Ashlynn & Hunter 2-pack
  • already mentioned Maddie, but equally need the other three AWW protagonists: Lizzie, Cedar, and Kitty
  • GINGER - both her sig and the one that came with a bakery playset (!); might or might not get her third doll, who doesn't. Have. GLASSES??!
  • Apple's fainting couch! (I used to have this and loved it so dang much, even though I did not have GF Apple)
  • Raven's vanity! (never had, obviously need)
  • Faybelle
  • at least half a dozen Briars
  • Rosabella
  • all of Getting Fairest
  • all of Spring Unsprung
  • most of Hat-Tastic
  • most of Dragon Games
  • most of Legacy Day
  • most of Thronecoming
  • most of Way Too Wonderland
  • Farrah
  • Baba Yaga - oh wait, they didn't make her a doll because they hate me personally
  • Mira Shards
  • Holly & Poppy
ryanreacts: (Default)
This week's Friday Funday purchase was the Pokemon Select Underwater Environment. $8.10 for a display that comes with two figures (Horsea and Popplio) I probably wouldn't have otherwise, even though they are both cute? Easy choice! Although actually, it was my second choice. I was going to order the Mountain Cave set instead (Tyrunt and Zubat!), but its estimated delivery date is AUGUST 29th, and uh, of course I went with the one they say they can deliver in less than one month.

Oh, oh! Hasbro Pulse emailed me to say that Rita Repulsa is getting ready to ship! I am beyond excited, even though she will not be opened until my birthday, approximately two months after she arrives.

That one tiny $8.10 Friday Funday was the limit of my non-essential spending at the moment, but if I had (quite a lot) more money to go around, I might have also bought, or in some cases, pre-ordered . . .
  • Doorables A GOOFY MOVIE, Hercules
  • So many Barbie The Movie dolls. President Barbie is currently at least $90 on Amazon, and eBay is even worse. I realize the movie just came out and it's really popular and so is this character, but, um, I really do hope the doll goes down in price eventually, even if just back to her original $50, which I now wish I had spent on her weeks ago. Obviously she is the most important by far, but I also really want Gloria, the RC Corvette, Beach Ken, several Stereotypical Barbies (including: Pink Western, Rollerblading, Pink Gingham Dress, Return to Barbie Land), several other Barbies and Kens (especially Physicist Barbie, played by Emma Mackey, and Ncuti Gatwa as Ken), Weird Barbie
  • 5-piece Stitch figure set (actually four Stitch and one Angel) from Just Play
  • various other Pokemon figures
  • ???

Found out about another Doorables set that I need (frankly, way more than I need the Hercules set!) even though I had no idea it existed until today.

A Goofy Movie.

Yes, absolutely, Disney. You know how much I love A Goofy Movie. Take my money, thank you.
ryanreacts: (Default)
Instead of the specific shelf I was thinking of installing next to the door, perhaps I could get this table and two or three more storage carts. Obviously, the storage carts are a brilliant beyond brilliant idea. I've had one for at least a year and always meant to get more, but when i actually do, here is one way they will be useful: They can hold library comics! Near my bed when they're TBR, rolled over near the table when I'm ready to return them. Why have I not been using one of these carts as a nightstand for the last several months???

But, at the moment, my Room Needs priority purchases are, in this order:
  • pillows pillows pillows
  • at least two green & white display shelves
  • (and multiple spice shelves for tiny toys!)
  • The Perfect Desk
  • kitchen cart
  • blender
  • pentagram rug
ryanreacts: (Default)
ALREADY ACQUIRED
  • Doorables Sets - Olaf Presents, Villains, Encanto, Snow White, Countdown To Birthday (appropriate), Mega Village Peek Pack, Stitch
  • Pokemon Select Evolution Bulbasaur 3-Pack
  • NaNaNa!Surprise!Minis! - Purple Hippie Bunny, Yellow Hippie Bunny, Cow, Panda, Jaguar, Poodle, Tiger
  • Monica Rambeau (pre-ordered!)
  • Ninja Rangers: Aisha, Kat
  • technically not acquired yet, but I have pre-ordered Rita Repulsa

NEED TO BUY
  • Doorables Hercules Set
  • a few more Doorables 5/6/7-packs, I should think
  • ideally, the other five S2 NaNaNa Minis I haven't found yet (especially Cruella)
  • MLP Meet the Mane Six Collection
  • pretty much all of the Pokemon figures I mentioned in previous post
  • especially that Eevee 4-pack
  • must pre-order Diamond Select Invisible Woman
  • Carol? Kamala?
  • THIS
  • at least ten Mixlings two-packs
  • Ninja Rangers: Kim, maybe Billy
  • Generation X: MONET, Chamber
  • Ariel and Sisters Small Doll Set
  • President Barbie, Gloria, RC Corvette, other Barbie The Movie dolls

ryanreacts: (Default)
Right now, of course, my biggest wants are the Pokemon Select Evolution Multipacks. Pikachu, Squirtle, and Charmander three-packs, Cubone two-pack, and I recently found out about an Eevee four-pack! It "only" includes Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon, but those are my favorites anyway.

And then there's the Pokemon Select Forest Environment (note: of fucking course I found a playset). Obviously I need the forest one because it comes with another Bulbasaur figure, but right now I could get both Mountain Cave and Underwater for the price of Forest alone . . .

I don't want it for $35 right now, but I do want this pack of eight figures.

I talked myself out of it, since this year's Friday Funday purchase was my Barbie ticket, but I almost spent $19 on a pack of translucent Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander.

And finally (for now), my desk will not be complete without this sleeping Bulbasaur.

It's a few minutes after 1:20 AM, which means I will be seeing Barbie in approximately fifteen hours. I just took some NyQuil because I'm so excited that I might not be able to sleep. Whenever I wake up in the morning, I must get some groceries right away. Of course I always need more beverages because it's summer, but I also have to remember to buy a new bottle of laundry detergent so I can wash some clothes on Sunday (just checked, and I'm also running low on quarters, so I'll have to withdraw a twenty before going to the laundromat). And I want mango sorbet.

Other than that, my only plans for the weekend are to read, make a few more grocery trips, look at toys I can't afford to buy right now, and clean my room.

Biggest Difference
Mine would be an (adult) animated series. Why? Unlimited budget for powers, spells, demons, monsters, locations, fight scenes, and whatever else I feel like adding to the story.
Oh yeah, and I would change the name to CHOSEN. Yes, this is an intentional Buffy shout-out.

Origin

Once upon a time, when the world was much, much, much younger than it is now, there were three sisters who were witches. The oldest could move almost anything with her mind, the one in the middle could (usually, only temporarily) stop time, and the youngest had frequent glimpses of the future. Obviously, each sister was quite powerful on her own, but they were much more powerful when they cast spells together.
Unfortunately, after several years of fighting them and banishing them from the mortal realm, their town was overrun with demons.
So they prayed to Hekate, who granted them a spell that allowed them to borrow a burst of power from every witch on the planet, which they used to incinerate the body of every demon in their village and then banish their spirits back to whichever hell dimension they came from. Their spell was so powerful that it didn't stop at their village - it banished every demon in their hemisphere (yes, specifically only one half of the world, because there were fewer witches alive back then). Hekate knew that her daughters would need to save the world from demons for far longer than these three would be alive, so she let them keep all that power until they died of old age.
This was the birth of the Power of Three, which goes to a new set of sisters whenever the old ones die. They're not always literally blood sisters, but that happens a lot. The same three individual powers always repeat as well, not necessarily in the same order. Sometimes the oldest sister has the premonitions, sometimes the youngest can stop time, whatever. There have been a lot of sisters over the millennia.

World-Building
The sisters are not the only witches alive, of course. I'm not sure exactly how many, but let's say less than a hundred thousand (not including the mortal "dabblers" who are drawn to the craft, but haven't unlocked any "actual" superpower magic yet). Witches are very powerful, but their powers are not unlimited. One witch might have a talent for turning into one specific animal, her sister could be able to shapeshift into anyone or anything. One witch might get her powers from fire, another will be connected to water. With enough power, experience, and imagination, most witches can cast spells to do pretty much anything. The Power of Three is pretty much unstoppable, although more than one demon might have some sort of long-term plan to challenge that.

In this 'verse, it's quite common for witches to cast prosperity spells on themselves, or conjure cash that may or may not be stolen from a billionaire, or otherwise attract a lot of money so that they don't have to rely on "work" to survive. Many of them also throw a splash of financial luck on at least three mortals every time they manifest money for themselves, because why not? Most witches live at least a few hundred years, so they are rather confused by capitalism, since they can snap with one hand and just have a pile of cash in the other.

Since they have more free time, some witches focus some of their magic on making the world a better place in little ways and big ways. Homelessness hasn't been a thing for at least fifty years. And, well, I wasn't kidding about some witches conjuring cash from billionaires.

And it is a very good thing that other witches work on slowly saving the world in "smaller" ways, because the Chosen Three are constantly saving it from demons and other malevolent magics that want to end it, take it over, unleash Hell's nastiest monsters, and so forth. When the whole world isn't in danger, their lives still are. Many demons are stupid enough to try to kill them and steal their powers (individual powers only, although killing one sister will sever the Power of Three).

The House

I don't have a perfect mental picture yet, but it's another big house. This one is dark green with bright white double doors and a roof as black as midnight. And a wraparound porch (with several pieces of furniture, including at least three that are intended to lounge and read). And a backyard with a few trees and a garden. And a chimney (which is connected to, hell yes, a fireplace!).

It's a two-story house (technically more if you count the basement & attic) which needs at least four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, kitchen, garage (might be one of the bedrooms - witches don't need cars to get around), solarium, living room, and I'm not sure what else.

I am sure that The Book of Shadows appeared in the attic when the sisters were Chosen. The attic is also where their Mom and Grams did most of their spellcasting, and the sisters keep that tradition alive.

The Sisters

As of right now, I feel good about naming them Hallie, Hannah, and Hazel. No idea what their surname should be. Their mom was killed by a demon when they were young, which led to Hallie growing up fast to help Grams raise her sisters. Grams died of old age approximately six months before they were Chosen.

HALLIE, the oldest sister, is 26/27 in season one. Her main power is telekinesis. Now, this is one of the most common powers in the world, and she's had a knack for it since birth, before she even had sisters, but after being Chosen she gets such a boost that she is by default THE most powerful telekinetic in the world. She's always been an excellent artist, but by season two she has enough control to re-create Starry Night without moving a muscle. If she wanted to. She'd rather paint her own stuff. Painting is how she attracts her money, but she's very talented in many kinds of visual art. Photography, illustration, sculpting her own action figures, making her own plushies, pottery, mixed media sculpture, basically whatever she feels like.
Her power will eventually expand to teleportation. Partly because Paige could orb, but mostly because telekinesis & teleportation just go together, when you think about it. They're not quite opposites, but like, the same idea from different angles. Or something.
This is an animated series, but she looks a bit like Tati Gabrielle. Specifically, with that amazing short white hair she had (in at least two distinct styles I can think of right now) as Prudence on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. I can't describe her style beyond "hair is usually white" because she changes it all the time. Like, so often that she has learned how to instantly change into any outfit she can think of. She's NOT a goddamn fashion designer, but she does really enjoy expressing her feelings through what she wears.

HANNAH, the middle sister, is 24/25 in season one. Her main power is stopping time. Her range is approximately three blocks, and it doesn't work on other witches unless they want to kill her.
Like Piper, she's a chef. Unlike Piper, she's actually a chef. Who owns some sort of restaurant. Their mother was also a cook who ran her own place, so Hannah has been planning this for many years.
Obviously, she is a kitchen witch. The actual kitchen is her domain at home and at work, and woe betide her sisters if she asks them to do some sort of chore in there and they don't do it. Or do it wrong. The garden is also hers. She has always had a knack for potions.
Her second power is BLOWING SHIT UP. This really makes more sense as something for Hallie to do, but Piper did it and I loved it, so it stays. (Hallie can still do it occasionally.)
She looks a bit like Sasheer Zamata. She usually wears a black chef shirt, but her pants and shoes tend to be bright colors. At home she wears a lot of jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, and other stuff that's easy to bake in.

HAZEL, the baby sister, is 17/18 in season one. Yes, a high school senior! Becoming One of the Chosen Three kind of disrupts her plans to go to college and become a lawyer. Her main power is premonitions, and I am too tired to type any more right now!

Fred showed up at work tonight to deliver my check (and Larry's - he'll be covering for Jeff tomorrow). This was very nice of him, since technically payday is not until Saturday, but . . . I do have to wait until tomorrow to deposit it, since the credit union had been closed for at least three hours by the time he showed up.

HOWEVER.

I just looked at it, and the amount is somewhat higher than I was expecting! I guess they actually remembered to give me some sort of holiday pay for working the Fourth.

Anyway, after depositing this check, my balance will be a little more than $1,560.

After rent and T-Mobile, that will be reduced to $580.

- 44 for Rita = 536
- 200 for groceries = 336
- 100 for cannabis = 236

So, yeah. 236 isn't much, but it would have been even less if my check wasn't more than expected.

And, you know, I would have more money if I hadn't bought my ticket to Barbie and cannabis gummies for it.

And I don't have to pay Netflix, Hulu, or Prime until after Next Check.

Adulting is fun.
